Every BAC meeting includes legislative updates impacting businesses from city, county, state and federal representatives. All members are welcome to attend this virtual meeting; those who want to advocate for the rights of local businesses are invited to join the committee. Through our strong relationships with elected officials at all levels (city, county and state), we advocate for the rights of local businesses and take positions on proposed ordinances, rulings and legislation. The Business Advocacy Committee (BAC) is part of the WVCBA’s commitment to representing the interests of business with government. The mission of the BAC is to carry out an advocacy program on behalf of WVCBA's membership and business community within the governmental and political arenas and foster effective working relationships.

At this free event, professors from UCLA and California Lutheran University will review the report's findings and be joined by a panel of local business and community leaders to discuss the impact they witness on a daily basis. The Inaugural U.S. Latina GDP Report builds directly upon the annual U.S. Latino GDP Reports, as well as State and Metro Latino GDP Reports written in partnership with Bank of America.

Join us for our second quarterly networking breakfast on Wednesday, April 16 from 7:45-9:00 a.m. at the Ventura County Community Foundation in Camarillo. Start your workday with a power hour of forging stronger connections in the business community. There will be a full breakfast thanks to AlmaVia of Camarillo, networking opportunities, and a presentation by WVCBA member, Women's Economic Ventures.

Feel free to bring business cards, event flyers, palm cards, and the like from your organization, as we will have a display table available.

Check-in begins at 7:45 a.m. Program starts at 8:00 a.m.

The location of our quarterly networking breakfasts will rotate between Camarillo and Oxnard.
