Every BAC meeting includes legislative updates impacting businesses from city, county, state and federal representatives. All members are welcome to attend this virtual meeting; those who want to advocate for the rights of local businesses are invited to join the committee. Through our strong relationships with elected officials at all levels (city, county and state), we advocate for the rights of local businesses and take positions on proposed ordinances, rulings and legislation. The Business Advocacy Committee (BAC) is part of the WVCBA’s commitment to representing the interests of business with government. The mission of the BAC is to carry out an advocacy program on behalf of WVCBA's membership and business community within the governmental and political arenas and foster effective working relationships.

Join us for the second gathering of the WVCBA's new group, Rising Professionals, as we have lunch (user pay) at The Saticoy Club, followed by a tour of their exclusive private country club. Rising Professionals provides a platform for the next generation of leaders to build strong connections, meet experienced professionals, and establish themselves in the business community.

This group will meet bi-monthly on third Fridays. It is free to join for all WVCBA members aged 40 and under and is open to non-members for a fee of $100 per year.

Join us for our third quarterly networking breakfast on Thursday, July 31, from 7:45-9:00 am at River Ridge Golf Club in Oxnard. Start your workday with a power hour of forging stronger connections in the business community. There will be a hot breakfast, networking opportunities, door prizes, and a presentation by a WVCBA member.

Feel free to bring business cards, event flyers, palm cards, and the like from your organization, as we will have a display table available. Door prizes are appreciated as an additional way to highlight your business.

Check-in begins at 7:45 am. Program starts at 8:00 am.

The location of our quarterly networking breakfasts will rotate between Camarillo and Oxnard.
