Every BAC meeting includes legislative updates impacting businesses from city, county, state and federal representatives. All members are welcome to attend this virtual meeting; those who want to advocate for the rights of local businesses are invited to join the committee. Through our strong relationships with elected officials at all levels (city, county and state), we advocate for the rights of local businesses and take positions on proposed ordinances, rulings and legislation. The Business Advocacy Committee (BAC) is part of the WVCBA’s commitment to representing the interests of business with government. The mission of the BAC is to carry out an advocacy program on behalf of WVCBA's membership and business community within the governmental and political arenas and foster effective working relationships.

We are proud to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the newly transformed Premier America Boys & Girls Club - a milestone that represents hope, partnership, and a shared investment in the future of local youth. This renovation marks the culmination of a bold vision made possible through the Believe in Our Next Generation campaign, the Gene Haas Foundation, and the extraordinary support of the Premier America Foundation - the charitable arm of Premier America Credit Union - whose $1 million contribution helped bring this project to life.

The reimagined Clubhouse features innovative spaces including a state-of-the-art eSports lab, podcast station, STEAM lab, and upgraded computer lab - all thoughtfully designed to inspire creativity, learning, and confidence. Most importantly, the Club continues to serve as a safe, supportive environment where young people can explore their potential and build great futures. This ribbon cutting celebrates not only the completion of construction, but also the incredible community partnership that made this opportunity possible for generations to come.

Join us for our quarterly networking breakfast on Wednesday, April 29, from 7:45-9:00 am at Ventura County Community Foundation in Camarillo. Start your workday with a power hour of forging stronger connections in the business community. There will be a hot breakfast, networking opportunities, door prizes, and a presentation by Laura Martinez of HR Force.

Feel free to bring business cards, event flyers, palm cards, and the like from your organization, as we will have a display table available. Door prizes are appreciated as an additional way to highlight your business.

Check-in begins at 7:45 am. Program starts at 8:00 am.

The location of our quarterly networking breakfasts will rotate between Camarillo and Oxnard.
