Every BAC meeting includes legislative updates impacting businesses from city, county, state and federal representatives. All members are welcome to attend this virtual meeting; those who want to advocate for the rights of local businesses are invited to join the committee. Through our strong relationships with elected officials at all levels (city, county and state), we advocate for the rights of local businesses and take positions on proposed ordinances, rulings and legislation. The Business Advocacy Committee (BAC) is part of the WVCBA’s commitment to representing the interests of business with government. The mission of the BAC is to carry out an advocacy program on behalf of WVCBA's membership and business community within the governmental and political arenas and foster effective working relationships.

Led by Natalie Lehman (She Means Business) and Will Hsiao (Design Main Street, Ventura Cycling Center), the CGG is our new non-exclusive business networking group focused on shared lived experiences and joint problem-solving to grow business skills. We believe that when business leaders connect deeply and solve problems together, referrals happen naturally.

Meetings will be the 2nd Tuesday (in-person at Spanish Hills Club from 11:45 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.) and 4th Tuesday (virtual collaborative breakouts from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.) Space is limited, sign up today here!

In-person lunches at Spanish Hills Club are user-pay, no outside food allowed.

Everyone is invited to attend our annual Military Appreciation Mixer! Enjoy complimentary food and beverages while mingling with military personnel, local leaders, entrepreneurs, and business professionals at the Channel Islands Maritime Museum in the picturesque Channel Islands Harbor.

Businesses are welcome to showcase their support by contributing door prizes for the raffle, which will be awarded exclusively to military personnel and veterans.

There is no cost to attend and pre-registration is not required but appreciated.
