I don't even know how to begin to express my gratitude and appreciation for all that PrideStaff and Shani have done for me. There is something truly special and unique about Shani. From the moment we first spoke, she has always been so full care, thoughtfulness, and transparency. You can tell that she's fully dedicated to her job and truly cares. I came to Pridestaff somewhat hopeless and helpless and from that first interaction, Shani renewed my hope ten fold.
I have been in the work force for 20 years but never in a corporate office setting. So I understood that I most likely had to start in an entry level position, which generally meant a lower pay. My job search journey prior to Pridestaff left me a little disheartened to be honest. I knew my worth and knew that I could be an absolute asset to whomever I ended up working for. But I didn't know how to fully connect my skills and experience to the jobs I was applying for. I also didn't know what I even was qualified to do. My other main concern was finding an entry level job that would still be financially sustainable. Shani patiently listened to all my fears and concerns. She also listened to all my hopes and aspirations and experiences. And then in a brilliant way, she was able to see in me and pull out of me a part of myself I didn't know existed. She was able to connect all my gifts, skills and experiences, to the positions that would best suit me and allow me to truly shine.
She fought so hard for me from day one. Saw my worth, heard my concerns, and would not allow me to settle for less than what I deserved. She was able to connect me with a company that I am beyond thrilled to be a part of. I could never have imagined such a place could want inexperienced me, but Shani spoke so highly of me that the company didn't question taking a chance on me. What Shani found for me is everything I could ever want in a job and more.
I've been there since March (and it's now August) and still find myself wondering how I was able to land such an amazing job for an amazing company that supports me in every sense of the word. In all actuality, there is nothing to wonder. Shani saw and understood me. She heard and understood my company. She knew that both the company and I could provide exactly what the other needed. And she was right. And I am grateful every day that I was introduced to Pridestaff and especially to the phenomenal Shani. From the depths of my heart, thank you.Helpful 4Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Sodani, first of all, I am super happy that you like your new job so much. We are all passionate about finding that perfect job for our candidates. And it is an honor to work with somebody like yourself. I will make sure that Shani will get your feedback and comments. I am sure she will be thrilled.
Feb 5, 2019Previous reviewI am so happy with my experience with PrideStaff thus far. I am grateful to my old manager for suggesting this agency to me. Transitioning from one job to another isn't necessarily the easiest (especially when I'm looking to step into a new industry), but the staff here has absolutely inspired me and given me peace of mind.
Before my in-person interview, one of PrideStaff's staffing consultants reached out to me on the phone for an initial phone interview. Shani, the consultant who called me, was so full of life, so personable, so fun and easy to talk to, that she put me at ease right away. Her approach caused me to let my guard down and simply allowed my genuine self to shine through. The call was both enlightening and inspiring. She informed me on all aspects of the process and was a complete open book for any questions and concerns I had.
When Shani and I met in person for our follow up interview, she brought the same energy and care with her into our meeting. She was so upbeat, kind, and inviting that any unease or reservations I may have had coming into this meeting were put to rest. She was very supportive and helpful in terms of getting me clarity around my vision for my career and how to cater and spruce up my resume for potential employers. Through insightful questions (and her experience and intuition, I'm sure) Shani was able to pick up on skills/qualities I had that we could better highlight in my resume.
In the days that followed, she's been in touch with me with thoughtful ways to revamp my resume, even getting feedback from her other coworkers for me. Her love for what she does and her care for her clients shine through brilliantly. You can't help but leave an interaction with her with a smile on your face.
Aside from Shani, Guillermo also assisted me with the initial part of the process. He works the front desk and when you meet him you can understand why. He has a bright smile and kind, welcoming energy about him. He was so helpful and patient with me as he assisted me in filling out paperwork.
I'm only in the beginning stage of my relationship with PrideStaff but if this is any indication of how my time with them is going to be, I can't wait!
Thank you to the whole PrideStaff team for your time and support! - Diny Y.San Fernando Valley, CA2742Feb 12, 2024
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the unprofessional conduct I have experienced while interacting with your organization. I was misled and coerced into completing an online application through your portal, only to be provided with false information regarding a remote position by a recruiter named Antonio. This misinformation has resulted in a significant waste of my time and effort.
It is unacceptable that your staff, particularly Antonio, have resorted to dishonesty and misrepresentation in their communications with potential candidates. The lack of integrity and professionalism displayed by Pridestaff's recruiters reflects poorly on your organization and raises serious concerns about your recruitment practices.
I insist that immediate action be taken to address this matter and ensure that such deceptive behavior is not repeated. I expect a formal apology and a thorough review of your recruitment processes to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. Furthermore, I will be sharing my experience with others to caution them against engaging with Pridestaff due to the unscrupulous conduct of your recruiters.
I trust that you will take this matter seriously and enact the necessary measures to uphold the standards of professionalism and honesty that should be integral to your organization.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

As a professional staffing company, we work hard to find candidates meaningful employment in a timely manner. However, it seems we have no record of you in our system under this name. We would like to learn more about your experience. If you could give our office a call at 805.813.8431 we would be happy to look into your situation and provide assistance.

I ended up working with this office after a job I applied to on Indeed didn't work out. Initially, they were pleasant, and seemed to be receptive to what I was looking for. The problem arose when I kept hearing about positions that did not pay enough to live on. I am lucky enough to be looking for a better opportunity while employed, and the kind of pay cuts they were suggesting would put me on the street. But I stuck it out as it never hurts to have more people keeping an eye out for openings. The last straw was the pushiness- multiple calls during the workday, on top of text messages, and voice mails that got increasingly passive-aggressive. I wasn't ghosting them, mind you, but I am not able to take multiple calls while at work, and two messages after I took a call in the morning is excessive. Guilt-tripping me for an interview "not being set up" when I have made it clear I am at work and will not be able to drop everything for two more calls before 3:15 is unrealistic and unacceptable. Between the non-viability of the positions offered and the consistent lack of respect for my work schedule, I requested that my profile be deactivated. Searching for a job is difficult enough without calls stacking up, and without being spoken to as if I'm a child slacking off on her schoolwork. I've worked with temp agencies and recruiters before and I understand that there's a certain amount of pushiness (unfortunately) baked into the industry, but this was sustained and ridiculous enough that it's not worth dealing with. If you can't respect my standard work schedule, then there's no foundation for a professional relationship.

Erin, I am sorry to hear that your experience with our office has not been 100% positive. Our recruiters are passionate about finding great jobs for outstanding candidates.
However, timing is everything in the current job market, and this might come over as passive-aggressive. This is never the intention, and we highly value respect for our clients and candidates. Sending text messages and leaving voice mails are essential to our communication. And it allows the candidates to choose if and when they check/read them.

One of my first and best experiences with a staffing agency. Shani helps me consistently look for work and continues to give me great advisement when it comes to certain job opportunities. I couldn't ask for a better person to assist me with my job search!

Wow! All the negative reviews hit straight to the point! All true facts!!!
I unfortunately encountered this unprofessional organization before researching their background. They have the most unprofessional, horrible and rude staff; especially Alexandria and Daan. They have no business demeanor whatsoever and are truly ignorant of business practices in providing courteous customer service.
I will never deal with this pathetic attempt of a staffing agency and will ensure that all my business contacts in this city are aware of this horrendous and unprofessional experience!
Update:
The foolish owner just responded about his arbitrary policy. You now falsely claim that I threatened you?!?!? Daan, you're a joke! Your entire staff, including you needs to learn business ethic and courteous service. Trust me the entire town will hear about this.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Harris, by law, every potential candidate that gets hired by a staffing agency needs to show valid identification in person for the I9/E-Verify process. The only exception is when the office works 100% remote, which we aren't. You forgot to bring your driver's license and wanted my team to cut corners and accept a picture of your drivers license on your phone. That would be illegal and my staff refused to accept that. That's when you lost your cool, raised your voice, and started treating my staff disrespectfully. You are misinformed about your obligations to get hired as a candidate. You threatened me and my business in a follow-up phone call and now you misuse the Yelp platform to spread disinformation about my company.
Following the law when it comes to hiring is never unprofessional and we stayed calm and respectful trying to explain that to you.
Good luck with your job search.

I don't recommend this company, I haven't had the chance to work for them since they only reach out to me once a year. Every time I do express interest in a position they say they'll reach out to me with more info or that they'll submit my resume and then I don't hear back for another 12 months. Must be how agencies work nowadays.

Again thank you both!!! I hope you guys get the recognition you deserve!

I found PrideStaff through a linkedin job posting, I didn't get that position but just a month later Shani was able to find me a position that was right for me, the position is with good pay and with the perfect location. I definitely recommend their services, Shani will work to get you the right position. I was patient and waited for her to do her thing and she overcame my expectations. Thank you!
