The Shores Restaurant

We love our local neighborhood restaurant and bar! Such an eclectic bunch of peeps here! Live music is always a treat! The food and service is usually great! We could tell they were a little short handed, it was really busy and this time they struggled with offering their usual great service. But Martine, Zach and Tiara (while training another gal) really held it together! Great job!

We noticed on our last visit and this time, there's little to no consistency with the bar drinks being made... 3 different people making the same drink and all 3 were different. My first drink had very little booze in it, the 2nd one was perfect! And the 3rd one was literally all juice. Of course they were kind enough to fix them. Thanks y'al for taking great care of your customers! You might want to consider ...even when it's busy, that whoever is making drinks should be consistent to use the same recipes and make them the same-

We were in town during football season, so my BF had to find a place that we could go watch the game with our toddler. The host gave us a great table out of the way and we were off to a good start.

We ordered the Korean Gojujang Chicken Wings and they were so tasty!! It actually influences the way we marinate our chicken at home, trying to replicate a little bit of that flavor.

I also ordered the pretzel sticks with beer cheese as an appetizer. For our main lunch, I ordered a César salad and my guy ordered the Tuscany Chicken Pasta. We ordered my kid a side of fries and shared our plates with her.

We had a good time. The place got super rowdy, but we enjoyed all the fan-fare. The food was good, service was great and we had a really good time. Check out the Shores Restaurant!

So surprised how good the food was here, was expecting bar food, and yet was surprised that their bar food was beyond what you'd expect. Best Lobster Roll I've ever had, but have them make it the traditional way, with just butter.
Everything ordered at the table was top notch, even the chicken wings.
Also, the local band Checkpoint was awesome. Foo Fighters to dance Classic Rock

My friend and I were looking for somewhere casual to grab a late night bite and drink while we were in town. We stumbled across this place which doesn't have a lot of reviews in Yelp, but I could tell that their customers probably are not big yelp users.

It's essentially a sports bar, but they have pretty good dining options as well. It is not just bar food. And the owner did mention that people like to reserve it for the holidays!

Everyone was incredibly nice, and that includes the customers! It's a very friendly vibe, and you could tell that some of them were regulars.

My friend and I shared a salad, Prosecco, poki wontons, and soft pretzels with dip. The salad dressing was great, the pokey was on point, and the soft pretzels were so nice and hot. Everything was prepared perfectly, and came out at the temperature intended.

They even held the raffle, and I won a drink!

If you live in Oxnard or Ventura, I highly recommend.

The staff was incredible, even though they were super busy they were very attentive. We got our drinks right away and ended up putting in an order for a couple appetizers.

There was a local band there playing live music which made for a really cool atmosphere. They ended up playing several classics that I hadn't heard in a while. It made for a fun night out.

Went with friends for a drink but not my vibe. Great staff and super friendly!! I'd stop by earlier in the day for food but not my night scene.

They had rock music playing but I'm not into rock :/ You may enjoy it. Chef came out to talk to us and was super nice. Great customer service!!!

Excellent asparagus and Tri tip and it came with a side salad. Martin was a wonderful person with our restaurant experience.

Since Yolanda's had a big shake up in staffing and servers, The Shores has become the go-to location on this side of town. Bartender Sarah is a welcome addition to the team and deftly maneuvers from behind the bar to getting food orders gathered. Steady stream of locals and visitors. Get there early for a seat in game day. Plenty of screens to watch your favorite teams. Limited menu so plan accordingly for food. Enjoy.

Our waiter was so nice and welcoming. He greeted us and briefly went over the weekly happens at the restaurant. He was so accommodating, I asked him if the kitchen could double fry my steak fries...AND THEY DID, to perfection. Then our waiter followed up by asking me if they were to my liking. Nice guy!
The main reason I went here was for the steak fries. I had also ordered a burger and it was pretty good.

I had a few beers, hung out and watched the TVs. I love the crowd and the vibe of this place, has a nice neighborhood feel to it. It was chill!

I enjoyed sitting back, watching the large group near the bar have the time of their life, cheerfully signing along to whatever song was playing. They had karaoke at 9pm and we stayed a little while and watched. Great time. Over all the ambiance was refreshing, fun and inviting.

Good food, good peeps, good beer.
