Every year, millions of visitors and residents experience the outstanding entertainment opportunities in Oxnard. There is a multitude of diverse recreational activities within a small geographical area.

Due in large part to Oxnard’s temperate and sunny climate, a wide variety of outdoor recreation and attraction venues are available to residents and visitors year round. More than seven miles of white sandy beaches, 58 parks and a state beach campground are found within the city.

Hiking and Biking

Oxnard has dozens of nearby trails and more than 35 miles of bike paths and lanes. Paths are available in several of the parks, along the beach and throughout Channel Islands Harbor.

Channel Islands Harbor

If water is your thing, Oxnard has plenty of it. Consider renting a kayak or electric boat to tour the Harbor. Breathtaking sunsets and the sights of the Pacific Ocean provide a local paradise.

Downtown

Oxnard has a vibrant city center with a growing cultural arts district, state-of-the-art cinemas, and many restaurants. Celebrate family-friendly events year round with summer concerts, outdoor festivals, art shows, live theatre, and holiday parades. Downtown Oxnard Certified Farmer’s Market is a free open-air community market located in the beautiful Plaza Park at 5th & B Streets.

Heritage Square

Nestled in historic downtown Oxnard, Heritage Square offers unique, quaint oasis with delightful gardens and fountains. Set in original historic homes, there are more than 25 businesses including a restaurant, wine tasting room and a visitor’s center/gift shop.
